MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

CLOSING OF MAIN BOLL. When the main roll for the municipal elections closes on Monday, the names it will contain will probably be a substantial increase on the number two years ago. Enrolling is proceeding quietly at present, and there is every indication that a large number of citizens with electors' qualifications will not take the step of filling m the forms until the main roll has closed. The supplementary roll should thus contain a large total spf names. After January 31st the main, roll will be open for inspection for a week.
