THE ANNUAL MEETING,
The annual meeting of the Bllesmere Gun Club was' held at Lakeside on Monday night, Mr W. R. Donald presiding over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed -with Mr G. Manson in the death of his fathor. Mr Isaac Mawson was elected a member.
Mr G. Nairn moved, in accordance with notice, that the following clauso should he added to tho rules governing the District Sparrow Championship and tho District Olay Pigeon Championship: "In tho event of the winner having won the championship medal in a previous year, he shall be given the option of accepting a trophy to tho value of the medal."
Several members expressed tbo view that the option of accepting a trophy should apply to the first year of winning each championship, as well as to those following, so that the successful shooters need not be awarded medals at all unless they desired them. The new automatic angle trap had been in use for five months, and was giving complete satisfaction. The conrm l "" wished to thank all who 'had helped to put the new shooting ground in order, and aieo those who had given money or trophies. The balance-slieot showed a credit it*' 18s Id in cash, and the assets were valuea at £6B.
