Or C. Can- stated at the City Conn* cil meeting last evening that two houses in Trafalgar street were in a very insanitary and offensive condition. He said he had noticed they were vacant, and asked whether it was due to the action of the Council or the Health Department. "Is it not time the houses were condemned?" he .asked. Or. E. H. Andrews said he did not know whether the houses were vacant because of the Council's insistence on repairs. It was a matter for the Ooun<riFfl inspeotoßß.
