NOMINATIONS FOR SEATS. HEATHCOTE. • Nominations for Councillors on the various ridings in the Heathcoto County Council have been received as follows: Avon Riding—W. Kerr and J. B. Taylor. Bromley Biding— J. H. Moore and Jj. B. Cooper. Hillsborough Riding—A. H. Adams and J. P. Scott. Cashmere Hiding—W. - TT. Scarff, J. F; Daniks, and 11. Lightband. Mount Pleasant Riding— B. Riley and F. H. D. Gale. The only nomination received for the Valley Riding was that of C. Flavell (the present chairman of th« Council), who will therefore bo returned unopposed. One candidate will he elected to represent each, bf the other riding*,' excopt Oashmero, for -which two are required. PAPARUA. The only «eat that will be contested in the Paparna. County trill be in the Sockburn Riding, where A. Freeman (sitting member) and "Winter Cole ha.ro hoth been nominated. The present sitting members, jn the Islington Riding (J. Leslie), Templeton Riding (T. F. Ryan), Prebbleton Riding (OT.. "W. Kingan), Broadfields Riding (J. A. Henley), Ladbrooke Riding (T. 0, Morgan), West Melton Riding (A. E. I/ftngdale rlunt), and the Yaldhurst Riding (W. T. Frank) were all nominated and will.be returned unopposed. For the office of .representing the combined contributory districts of the Counties of Paparua, Halswell, and Heathcoto on the North Canterbury Hospital Board, A. T. Smith and H. Paterson (the sitting member) were nominated. WAIPARA. The following nominations for eeats on the "Waipara County Council havo been ' Eurunui Riding—H. E. Fineham (sitting: member) and J. Quigley. "Waitchi Riding—F. D. Dalzell, H. T. Little, and L. A. Rutherford. "Waikai-i Riding—Thomas Allan (sitting" member), James Rollo, and "W. L. "Wright. "Waipara Riding— D. J. Doak (sitting member), Jamee R. Maxwell, and Douglas McLachlan. Teviotdale Riding—Angus Cameron (sitting member), R. 0. Duncan, and E. F. Taylor.

Stonyharat Riding—Xorman Campbell (chairman and sitting member), and Stuart B. Gibb. Henry H. Holland was elected unopposed to the, Hospital Board. WAIREWA. Little Biver Hiding—Morrison Barclay, Henry Thomas Chapman, James Openahaw Coop, Thomas Thompson. Kaituna Biding—Frank Coop, Walter Fox Pariuneon, Thomas Charles "Wit-hell. Kinloch Bidin?—Thomas Feather, James Livingstone, Dudley Bichards. Three candidates are wanted for Little River Biding, two for Kinloch, and two for Kaituna. Only two • nominations were rece'ved for seats on the Banks Peninsula Power Board from Wairew* County and two were required. The following are therefore reelected: James Chapman and Walter Parkinson. ELLESMERE. Only 6ix candidates were nominated for the Ellesmere County Council, and they hive been declared elected: Messrs J. Cunningham and John Heelop to represent Irwell Biding. Messrs A. Quigley and John Nixon for Leeston Biding, and Messrs J. P. Mc-E-vedy and J. S. McClelland for the Southbridge E'ding. . . All the- candidatee, with tlio exception of Mr McClel'and, were members of the old Council. , ~ Mr J. C. Free did not seek rc-electior.. Mr F. Eowell, being the only candidate nominated as representative of the Ellesmere ard Springs Counties on the North Canterbury Hospital Board, has been declared reelected. Messr3 J.' Cunningham, H. Neavc, and J. C. Free have been nominated as Ellesmere County representatives on the Springs-Elles-mere Eloctrio- Power Board. As only two members are required, an election will be necessary. GERALDINE. No election will be needed for the County Council, only sufficient nominations being received to fill the seats. The following.members were declared elected:—Messrs J. Ellis, F. Flatman, M. Guild, C. Lev, T. Lyon, K. Mackenzie, G.»Tate, and J. M. H. Tripp. Messrs H. R. Guild and Flatman have been elected members of the Timara Harbour Board. Messrs E. Hardcastle and B. R. Macdonald have been elected members of the Hospital Board. Messrs Kennedy Mackenzie and Jesse South have been elected members of ths South Canterbury Power Bond.
