FINANCES PREVENT ADOPTION IN BRITAIN. (Bt CABLE-PBESS ASSOCIATIOH-COPriUOHT.) (AUSTKALIAN AND N.Z CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, April 27. In the House of Commons, Sir Harry Brittain asked whether, in view of the fact that one Dominion was restoring Imperial penny postago and another internal penny postage, the PostmasterGeneral would bring up the Empire penny postage question at the Empire Conference. Sir W. Mitchell-Thomson replied: As tho financial position of this country would not allow the sacrifice involved, I do not think there is any occasion to initiate a discussion at the conference.
