ABUSE OF TRUST.
POSTAL OFFICIALS SENTENCED. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGHAiI.) AUCKLAND, April 28. At the Supreme Court, Mr Justice Herilman dealt with the cases in which two postal officials were charged with theft in their capacity as officers of a Government Department. In the case of Charles Josoph Hugh Curry, who had admitted nine charges of theft, the accused's good official record previously was urged by counsel. Tho Judge said that the accused had held ft position of trust, and had committed thefts on nine occasions. Ho would be detained for reformative treatment for twelve months. John William Robert Gussy admitted seven charges of theft as a postal official, while temporarily employed at Porotarao. The acotised, who had two previous convictions, wns sentenced to twelve months' hard labour.
