SUMNER BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION.
The president, the Rev. W. McAra, occupied the chair at the regular meeting ot the Sumner Burgesses' Association on Tuesday evening. A < letter was received from the Sumner Borough Council stating that the kerbing at the junction o£ the Esplanado and Morton street had receivod attention,. The reply from the Tramway Board regarding the Association's letter, was fully considered, and it was .decided that the sub-committee should confer with tho representative for the district, the Hon. J. Barr, M.L.C. It was also decided to thank the Board .and to state that further, consideration was being given by the Association to certaib matters' referred to in the report. The following committee' was appointed to bring.down a report on the proposed bridge across tho estuary: Messrs J. C. McDonald, J. Cock, W. J. Cunningham, P. J. • Twomer, and • W. C. Collins. It was reported that Upper Clifton was receiving attention from the Council.
