CHARITY CONCERT.
FOR ST. SAVIOUR'S ORPHANAGES I There was a very largo attendance at a concert held in tlie Caledonian Hall last evening, io oid of the St. Saviour's Orphanages, the programme was an excellent one. The singing and dancing were of a very high standard, and the acting of the younger nenorniera was excellent. During the interval Bishop YVestWatßon gavo a ihort address. He offered thanks to those people who had so generously supported the Orphanages. Ho also congratulated Mrs E Calson on organising sucn a first-cluss programme. He said that the Orphanages were doing a great deal to improve tho moral character of those children entrusted to their care. The programme was as follows-.—Jockey ballet, Miss Gwen Smith and pupils of Miss Iris Edmonds; Life of a Rose, Miss Birdie Limey; statuette, Miss Evie Exton; song, "Largo," Miss Kathleen Garven; violin solo, "Indianißoheo,* Mr A. Munro; dance duo, Spanish tango, Miss J. Staff and Mr C. Poulton; song. Miss Betty Beid and pupils of Miss Tria Edmonds; simultaneous duo, Misses P. and B. Jones; clasaique, Miss Lilian Ayling; pierouette, Bona and Fred Jones; song "The Trumpeter," Mr R. Sameon; sketch, members of tho Christchurth Vagabonds; song, "Dolores," Mr D. Colville; pappillon, Mis 3 D. Dean; recitation, "Exemption." Mr W. Bateman; dance, "Apache," Miss Iris Edmonds and Mr B. Dickinson; "Policeman's Holiday," Mr H. Courtney; song, "Thanks be to God," Mis 9 M. Nelson; recitation, Miss J. Staff; song, Mr P. Nioholls; Gsrotte, Misses Dorothy Dean and Irene Mulvany Gray; song, "The Admiral's Broom," Mr R. Samson; piano solo, "Andante and Rondo Capricioso," Miss Maud Stout; Sifflear, Mr "VV. Mizen; violin solo, Mr Alex. Munro; Russian Mazurka, i Misses Irene Mulvany Gray and Dorothy Dean.
