»i '» PARISHIONERS' ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of tho parishioners ] of St. Faith's Church, New Brighton, was ] held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evoning. '( The acting-vicar, the Rev. Canon T. A. | Hamilton, was in the chair, supported by j the wardens, Messrs R. Bargrovo and W. < Miles. . > Mr Miles, people's ivnrdon, then explained various details in tho nnnuol report ana j balance-sheet. Tho total receipts for tho , year amounted to £604 15s 4d, and payments « amountod to £GBB 2s 6d, thus wiping off . last year's overdraft, and establishing a J credit balance of £G 12s lOd. Mr Miles , particularly referred to tho excellent result , obtained so far from tho onvelopo system, , which was adopted a year ago, and hoped ' that those who had not already joined the I schemo would take an early opportunity of doing so. During the year tho parish had given tho sum of £45 lis 8d to variouß missions, an increase of about £l2 over the previous year. Tho balance-sheet for the year was ndopted. In recognition of his long and arduous ( duties in the past, it was moved, and carried unanimously, that a iountain-pen •be purchased and presented to Mr Miles, the i people's wardon. . A motion to continue tho Parish Magazino for a further period of twelvo months wns put to the meeting and carried unanimously. . , Mr R. Bargrovo was re-elected vicar s warden, and Mr W. Miles was re-elected people's warden. Mr G. W. Bishop was re-elected auditor. Nominations for the, vestry being in excess of the required number, a ballot was taken, and rosulted in the election of the following:—Re?. W. F. Knowles, Messrs G. P. Blackburn, A. de Roo, C Hockley, J. McCreanor, G. Palk, 1. Robins, h. V. Samuels, S. Undorhay, and F. Ward. »
