ZANE GREY.
• HIS TROUT-FISHING CAMPS. (BMSCIAI. TO "THS PBSSS.") AUCKLAND, April 16. Mr Zane Grey's party broke camp at Waihora Bay on Wednesday, and moved by launch to Tokaanu, where they are camping six miles up the Tongariro river. The party caught 70 rainbow trout at Waihora, averaging just over 6Jlb. This represents the average weight of fish this season. Mr Grey las been much impressed with the scenic beauty of the lake, and compares the climate with that of Arisona in its bracing qualities. The camp at Waihora, pitched at the valley mouth, with to wering cliffs on both aides, was in one of the most picturesque spots on the lake. The large numbers of tuis and bellbirds there were a source of delight to the party, Mr Grev calling the camp, "The Valley of the Tuis." After six days at Tongariro Mr Grey leaves for Wellington.' He has gathered considerable material for his book dealing with fishing at the Bay of Islands and N at Taupo.
