THE BISHOP AT ST. MICHAEL'S.

TO-MORROW'S SERVICE.

The visit of Bishop Campbell WestWatson to St. Michael's Church tomorrow night will be : of the nature of an bistorio event. St. Michael's was once the Cathedral of Christchurch. The members of the Provincial Council's of Canterbury came to it for Holy Communion at the beginning of every session. The procession for the laying of the foundation stone of Christ's. College and the new Cathedral started from St. Michael's. The original Episcopal throne is still in the sanctuary, a much treasured possession of the parish; Bishop Harper' sat in it on many great occasions, and Archbishop Julius frequently occupied it. The Episcopal throne awaits its third occupant to-morrow night. ' The Scouts of the parish-will provide a guard of honour to the Bishop on the interesting occasion.
