♦__ — Tho Sprevdon Burgesses' Association held a meeting last evening. There was a good attendance of membera. Mr G. Wear presided. A letter was received from tho Town Clerk, Mr W. S. Keville, 6tating that the Reserves Committee of the Council had decided to purchase the section adjoining Spreydon Park. ■ ABvice was received frpm the PcstmastorGeneral, stating that in reference- to the application for the installation, of a publio call office at the comer of Howard and Barrington streets, tho Department had decided to erect ft cabinet. Owing to a mistake, Mr F. Cooke, who was to .have given an address, was not present. Mr Cooke will deliver an address at the next monthly meeting.
