HEALTH AND PHYSICAL CULTURE. On Saturday night last, the "W.E.A. rooms were packed to the doors by an audience interested to hear the lecture by Madame Alwyn on health and physical culture. The lecturer said the nervous system should l>e toned up to itc highest possible pitch, and that coald only be secured by proper exercises, deep _ breathing, and a right diet. Th® various exercises necessary for the improvement of any particular bodily weakness ware displayed by a party of students. The audience was asked by the lecturer to name any particular axarciM thay wished to know, and in response quit* a largo number were asked for. At the close of the lecture a number intimated their desire to form a class. Mr Geo. Manning moved a vote of thanks to the lecturer for conducting the series of lectures.
