SCOUTS' MOVEMENT.
KING'S CONGRATULATIONS

Lord Forester (recently GovernorGeneral of Australia and Commonwealth Chief Scout), Sir James Allen (High Commissioner for New Zealand), Sir William Cullen (New South Wales); Mr Colsbatch (Agent-General for Western Australia), and other Dominion representatives of tho movement, attended the dinner given by the Chief Commissioner of the Boy Scouts' Association, Lieut.-General Sir Robert Baden-Powell, to which his Majesty tho King sent a message of congratulation on the continued increase of tho movement. Responding to the chief toast, proposed by yiscount Jcllicoe, Lieut.Geiieral Baden-Powell said that the progross overseas had been more rapid than in tho Home Country. Australia and New Zealand had gone ahead splendidly during tho past twelve months and there would be a big forward movement in the coming year.
Tliey were close on half a million strong all over the Empire and ovc r a million and a half throughout the world, but many more had passed 'through the movement and were infused witii its spirit.
