FRENCH CUSTOMS.
PROPOSED INCREASE. (by cable—rsESS association— copyright.) (rbuteb's telegrams,) PARIS, January 29. Tho Government has prepared a Bill increasing tho Customs dues approximately 30 per cent. This is expected to yield an additional 400,000,000 francs. The Chamber of Deputies, during the past few days, has been busy with, mattors of procedure, but simultaneously the negotiations aro going on behind the scenes to secure somo agrcomont on fiscal matters, in preparation for getting to grips with the problem as early as possible.
