MADRID TO BUENOS AYRES. (BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCUTIOK-CC (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE < (Received January 31st, 5.5 p.m.) GIBRALTAR, January 29. Taking advantage of the favourable conditions obtaining, Commander Franco left Cape Verdo Islands at - o'clock this morning on his AigM to Fernando de Noronhaya.
He hoped to bridge tho Atlantic in sixteen hours. [Commander Franco, of tho Spanish Aviation Force, and Captain Ruiz, on a twin-engined, all-metal Dofnier hydio plane, are attempting a trans-Atlantic flight from Madrid to Buenos Ayrcs.]
