Macßoberts is seeking reelection on his appointment as Solici-tor-General, Scotland, resulted:—Mr Macßoberts (Conservative) 11,817, Eev. John Munro (Labour) 10,889. The by-election at Dumbarton, held in consequence of the appointment of Mr E. C. Fleming, K.C., Solicitor-Gen-eral, to a Scottish Judgeship, resulted as follows: —Colonel Thom (Conservative) 12,680; Mr Martin (Labour) 11,610; Mr Eeid (Liberal) 2146.
