BOXING.

A QUESTION OF CONTROL. There has been some contention ia boxing circles in Christchurch as to whether the amateur or professional branches o£ the sport should be supported. It appears that there ha 3 been trouble in tho Christchurch Sports Club, and members have been divided on the question. The New Zealand Boxing Council has evidently decided to act in the matter, and Mr G. P. Aldridgo, tho secretary, is nt present in the City to discuss affairs with the committee or the Sports Club. There is a likelihood, so it is reported, that tho Sports Club will be dissolved. Probably a meeting will bo held shortly to make a decision.
