The annual report of the AuditorGeneral, referring to the Commonwealth Shipping Line, says that it showed a net loss for the year of £209,364. To this had to be added depreciation and debenture interest, making a total loss for the year of £593,879. The amount spent on the fleet was £1,967,462, and the earnings totalled £1,831,649.
