TOO COLD TO FIGHT.

As frostbite was causing much suffering among the rival armies outsido Mjikden, General Kuo, brigade commander of Kuo Sung-lin's advance caard, telephoned General Wu, brigade commander of tho Mukdea Army, sugcestine an armistice, whereupon, according to a report, the latter immediately agreed. Official advices indicate that operations ore being held up owing to the extreme cold, but do not confirm the armistice negotiations.
