The Shaw, SavTH, and Albion Shipping Company has written to Sir Joseph Cook, Australian High Commissioner, London, denying that the captain or agents of the <_X}ira gave either a written or a verba? promise to provide Australian firemen with a return passage or employment, and ho repudiates any further responsibility. Sir Joseph Cook may seek Commonwealth authority to repatriate the men.
