INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS.
The annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Institute of Architects was held on Tuesday, Mr J. G. Collins, retiring chairman, presiding.
A warm welcome was extended to Mr S. Hurst Seager, who had been absent for nearly seven years. Mr George Hart, who had been elected as the representative of the branch in the Dunedin Exhibition Canterbury Executive, was congratulated on the success of his design for the Canterbury Court. The annual report stated that there were 48 members of the branch, li i'cllows, and 3-1 Associates.
It was announced that Messrs-V. H. Panton, of Timaru, S. Hurst Seager, and It. Ijovell-Smith, of Canterbury, had been elected as representatives in the Council of the Institute which would meet in Dunedin on February loth, 1926.
The following officers were elected:— Chairman (who is ex-oflicio vice-president of the X.Z. Institute), ilr S. Hurst Seager; vice-chairman, Mr G. A._ J. Hart; secretary and treasurer, itr R. Lovell-Smith; committee, Messrs E. J. Greenstreet, J. G. Collins, and M. J. Guthrie; auditor, Mr A. B. Ellij.
