BAND CONCERT.

CHRISTMAS TREAT FOR CHILDREN. A musical treat will reward all who patronise the Grand Concert by the combined City Bands, including Municipal, Canterbury Regimental, Woolston, and Derry's, in the Hospital Grounds on Sunday (to-morrow) afternoon, December 20th. This concert is being held under<the auspices of the Rotary Club for the purpose of raising money to brighten Christmas for the children in the Hospital and our various Orphanages. It is the desire of the promoters to present each child in these institutions with a bright, new shilling on Christmas morning, and also to provd* money to defray the expense ■of giving these children a holiday during the Christmas holidays. As in previous years, a tent will bo provided to receive donations of toys, books, etc., not necessarily new, for the children.
