HANDEL'S "MESSIAH."

DURHAM STREET METHODIST CHURCH. This evening, at 8 o'clock,an augmented choir of 120 voices will render "The Messiah '' under the conductorship of Mr Ernest Firth, F.R.CO., with Miss Clarice Bell, L.AJB., at the organ. Twelve of the best choruses have been selected for performance. The soloists, all of whom are well known singers oi oratorio, are Madame Gower Burns, Mrs Ernest Firth, Mr H. Blakeley, and Mr W. J. Spratt. Prior to 8 p.m. the Christmas hymn will be sung. Admission is by ticket onlr. and these may be obtained from Webley's Music Store, Tuck's (Colombo street), and after 1 p.m., at the caretaker's house, Durham street Church.
