«—. — • OFFICERS' CAMP CLOSES. The camp at Cashmea-e for the officers of the Canterbury Provincial Girl Guides was struck on Saturday afternoon, after having been! (visited by a large number of friends and members of the local Association. Owing to the wet weather of last week it was decided to close the camp two days previously, but for the purpose of holding a visitors' afternoon the camp was continued until Saturday. The commandant, Lady Sfarjorio Dalrvmple, was in charge, and the Guides gave interesting exhibitions of tent erecting and striking, ambulance work, country dancing, while the Maori Guides, from the Maori Girls' College, sav;e a poi dance. The weather was excellent and, during the afternoon, tea was served by the Guides.
