Walsh and Johnson came before the High Court, Mr Watt, counsel for defendants, asked for a remand for a week to prepare his case. This was granted. TRADES COUNCIL POLICY. COMBATING DEPORTATION. MELBOURNE, November 23. The executive of the Traides Hall Council considered the deportation of Walsh and Johnson, and laid down a policy for the Trade Union movement, providing for fhe exhaustion of all constitutional means of defeating the deportation rather than to embark upon anything in the form of a strike or industrial upheaval.
