MASON DISPOSES.
♦ - GLOAMING IN A PROCESSION ? If R. J. Mason says ''yes," Gloaming may make at least one more public appearance for which his advancing years will iu n ° way disqualify him. It is suggested that ho may parade in the procession being organised by the Canterbury Pilgrims for their 75th anniversary celebrations. At a meeting of the Procession Committee yesterday, Mr J. O. Jameson reported that Mr G. D. Greenwood had promised that, subject to Mason's sanction, Gloaming might take part in the procession. Mr Hay ward: It's a thousand to one againSt it, if I know Mason! Mr Jameson: Mrs Greenwood has a say in the matter. «* Mr A. T. Smith: But Mason has more. Now Mr Mason has an elegant opportunity of confounding the two ger, tiemen who claim to know him so well. If he does, he will contribute the "exhibit" in the procession which will certainly draw most public notice. ;
