The monthly meeting of the Mothers' Thought Guild will bo held at 263 Manchester street, to-morrow, at 3 p.m. The Canterbury Horticultural Society's rose 6how will be held on Saturday. Entries close on Thursday at 9 p.m. A free cooking demonstration will bo held to-morrow by the Christchurch Gaa Co. Particulars of the Lyall Bay gala and beauty contest are advertised. At the Church Missionary rooms, Dominion Buildings, a special sale oi goods is being held) this week. A flower show will be held at St. David's Presbyterian Church, Sydenham, on Saturday, at 2.30 p.m. A vaudeville entertainment in aid of St. Chad's Church will be held in the Choral Hall on Thursday, December 3rd.
