GARDEN FETE.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL. WOOLSTON. A garden fete, the object of which is to raise'funds for the improvement of the school and grounds, was opened by his Lordship Bishop Brodie at the Catholic School cronnds, Woolston, on Satarday in the presence of a large attendance, *hieh extended liberal juUronage to the stalls, and side-shows which occupied the grounds.; In the evening the Weolaton Band played selec""The stallholders were;— Produce: . Mrs Rich; variety, Mesdamea Trewern , and Moore; sweets: Mrs Smith; refreshments: Mrs Isherwood. A baby show, the priaei for which were given by Messrs "Wrigglesworth and Binna and Mr M. E. Lyons, resulted as follows:—Under 12 month*:.: Mrs Buck. 1, Mrs Washington. 2. Under six months: Mrs Cronin 1, Mra Smith 2. The judge* were Nurses Whittington and Gatehouse. The fete will be contrtned to-night.
