DANCE RECITAL.
MISS IRIS MONTGOMERY AND HER PUPILS. How make-believe appeals to children will be clearly seen in some of the items which will be given'at Miss Iris Montgomery's recital at the Caledonian Hall on Wednesday evening, November 25th. In a ballet called "Gardening," Bix girls, with spades, rakes, and watering cans, enter with great spirit into the action of the gardeners, making of the actions a very laughable burlesque. Ju the "Dance of the Wicked Tom-Cats," in black, with ears and tails complete, some verv little people give a realistic version of "feline qualities. A tiny fairy, littie April, in "Willow Pattern .liand." awakens the sleeping ladies with dramatic gesture.;, showin-g how even four-year-old feels at home in fairyland. Dancing does give to children a means of self-expression particularly suited to them, and they do seem to enjoy it. Those who love to see children happy, will certainly have an opportunity of doing so at Miss Montgomery's recital. The ;box plan is now -open at The Bristol.
