GREAT WELSH FAIR.
The Mavov will open the Welsh Fair at 2 ;iu p.m. "to-dav in tlio Art Gallery. The fair is under the 'auspices of the Cambria Society and is in aid of the Phillipstown parish! Jt is unique in this respect: that it is tlio first fixture of the kind under the patronage of the Welsh people in (.'hristehureh. The costumes of the various workers will be descriptive of the picturesque national dress. There will be stalls of all descriptions in the market. A feature of the fair will be the cjmpetitiims. .To-morrow the cooking competition takes place at 4 o'clock. . A cabaret dance will be held each evening in the big ha!!, under the supervision" of .Miss K. C. Thomas and committee. Members of J)erry's Baud and the. Tramway Band are assisting.
