ORDER OF FORESTERS.

The half-vearly meeting of the Court Star of Canterbury,. ,No. 2309, A.0.F., was held in the Foresters' Hall on Monday. Chief Ranger, Bro. C. A. Eldridge, presided. The secretary -reported, with regret, the death ot Dr. Gerald Russell, one of the Court s medical officers, and various members spoke feelingly of the loss the Court had sustained m the death of Dr. Rus,sell, and of the good work he had done while holding the position of medicalofficer in the Order. A motion of sympathy and condolence with his lamil'v arid relatives was carried. The order paper for the district meeting, to be held at Dunsandel, was read by the secretary and the Court's delegates received instructions as to voting on the various remits and notices of motions that were to be considered. The president and other members of the TJ PS. Dispensary Board attended and addresses on dispensary and hospital matters were given by Bros. Brown, Burgess, and Smith Bro. F. T. Eldridge was elected a delegate to attend the meetings of the Canterbury Pilgrims' Association to make arrangements for the anniversary celebrations this year. One new candidate was proposed for initiation.
