HOLIDAY ACCIDENTS.
EIGHT-HOUR DAY IN SYDNEY. (BT CABLE— r-BESS ASSOCIATIO};—COPTBIOHT.) (ACBTBAL.IAH AND U.S. CABLE ABSOCUXIOJt.> SYDNEY, October 6. The usual crop of holiday accidents Occurred on Eight-hour Day. At Penrith Bpecdway a competitor in a motor-cycle racg fell heavily from hia machine and died later. A competitor iu another race fell from liia machine, and a spectator who rushed to his assistance was knocked down by the following cyclist and severely,injured. Three motor-cars collided rounding a bend. The occupants received minor injuries. Two men were sent to hospital and two others treated as a result of a collision, between taxi-cabs in George street. Four men were injured as a result of motor accidents. At Palm Beach a boy fell over a 100 ft cliff and was' killed.
