Macmillau expedition aeroplane waa nearly sinking from a leak from pound* ing in the surf. It was hoisted aboard the Peary and is Toeing repaired. Lite 'planes across EHeamere Land to llayes fjord, where opes sea permitted a landing, lite; discovered another place free of ice t£est of Flagler fjord, where another attempt to establish a base will he made as soon as weather conditions improve. Arising out of the discovery that Dr. Swayne, of Bristol, was dying of revolver rounds in a bedroom in a country liouso near SeHach; Hertfordshire, wlicro ho was the guest of Bichard Brown, Swayne's eor.-in-law, who was found in bed, tho latter was arrested. Tho doctor died and Brown was charged with murder. Dr. Swayne was a well-known obstetrician with a brilliant professional career, including professorship of the Bristol University. I TEN YEARS' GAOL.
