[Santorin is one of the Cyclades, forming, with tho island of Therasia and the islet of Aspronesi an uninterrupted ring, tho crater of a volcano in the middle of which have arisen, through eruptions within historic tipies, the three Ivaimene islands, which have been enlarged by eruptions since 1866.]
