Mrs Stanley Binns came from Christfliuivli voMcrday on a short visit to Timaru. Miss trolly Murray arrived from Hraetnar yesterday, and is with Mr.< il. W. Ilav (Sealey street). Mr W. A. Mat liieson. who has been head cutter for .1. Ballantyne and Co.. Ltd., in Timaru for the past eleven years, lias been transferred to the firm's Christchurch house, and will leave to take up his new position next week. The Weather. Six degrees of frost yesterday were followed by a light v.or'-wester, which continued until about 11 a.m., when the wind dropped and the skv became overcast. By noon a cold southerly was blowing, and a few showers of rain fell, developing into a steady downpour in the early afternoon.
