HORIZON CLEARS.

* REPORT FROM MOROCCO

RIFFIS SKILFUL AND WELLEQUIPPED. (BT cable— pbess association— coptbioht.) (BEUIXa'6 TSLEQBAMS.) (Received August 10th, 7.5 p.m.) PARIS, August 9. "The horizon is clearing," says Marshal Petain's report on his mission to Morocco. He describes events since tho first Eiffi attack, and speaks of the strong, skilful, bold, well-equipped, mobile, and frugal Eiffis against which only the remarkable tenacity and devotion of French troops held the Fez-Taza road to Algeria.

He emphasises that the interior of Morocco is still loyal to Franco. Combined action is now being prepared to drive out the enemy and reestablish French authority.
