ARCHBISHOP MANNIX.
COUNTY CORK DEPUTATION. (bt cahle—pkess association —coptbight.) laustbaliax axd h.z. cable association LONDON, July 7. A deputation from the Cork County Council waited on Archbishop Mannix at tho Imperial Hotel. The chairman said he had great pleasure* in welcoming the Archbishop, because lie was aware that the position enjoyed by Irish people in Melbourne, was largely due to Dr. Mannix's efforts. Replying, Dr. Mannix said he appreciated tho honour, because it was the action of a newly-elected council, representing all parties. Ireland, unfortunately, was divided, but ho hoped that the presentation was an omen of future nnion.
