ALLEGED PROFESSIONALISM. (by cabij:—pebss associvhok— coptmohx.) (Stdnei "Sun" Smvice.) LONDON, Ar>ril 27. The "Daily News," defending the Lawn Tennis Association against the charge _of autocratic action in suspending players, declares that it was high time the Association took drastic action regarding enam amateurs. The word expenses covers a multitude of eins. The Association has been far too patient. Many players posing as amateurs are really as much professionals as paid footballers. Representatives of the Indian Lawn Tennis Association, in a letter to the All England Association, sav that no question of the rieht to suspend Jacobs and Fyzee is raised but thev point out that it would hare been better if India had been consulted first. Jacobs and Fyzee had been instructed to comply with the English conditions, and therefore it was hoped that the suspensions would be gracefully cancelled. ' Similar difficulties in future should be referred to the Dominion Association concerned.
