CONTAMINATED BRICKS.

The report of the Government Analyst on the orchard poisoning cases at Vinefera, reveals thr.t the stomach of Ohalincrs 'contained arsenious oxide, which was also found in samples of the water used in the copper and kettle in Williams's orchard. The same chemical iwas found in the brick scraps ar.d mortar from an internal section of the well. The- water and bricks were charged with poison. The bricks were obtained from the cyanide works at Bendigo three years ago. . I
Other buyers who are using them far storing food or for wells have been warned.
I"A previous message said—A mysterious casio* of supposed poisoning occurred at vinefera, Victoria. Mrs Pemrelfy, her two children, and. a maid, Miss Smith, were on a holiday, and at© some fruit in an orchard. They became very ill and were taken to hospital. A nian named Georgo Chalmers picked grapes from the same orchard and died after eating them. Miss Smith and Mrs Pengelly's children were in a serious condition, but recovered]
