ATTRACTIVE EUCHRE.

BIG PRIZES OFFERED. Poker and Bridge are generally recognised as being a lucrative source of revenue to the initiated, but the more commonplace pastime of euchre usually has little to commend it from this point of view. Devotees, however, will have au opportunity of trying their skill during the fev.' weeks for something that will be really worth while. The Christchurch Euchre Assembly have secured and will offer as a prize, among other things, a new Ford car of the latest model, fiveseatcr and touring design type. The tournament will be commenced at the Caledonian Hall on Monday night, and in all there will be five occasions afforded to contestants to qualify to play in the final, the trophy in this last-named case being, of course, the car. At each of the five qualifying rounds 20 prizes will be offered, and each prizewinner will become eligible, without further play, to take part iu the final of the contest. The five qualifying rounds will take place Oil Monday. Miirch 30th, Friday, April 3rd, Tuesdav, April 7th, Friday, April 17th, and Thursday. April 23rd. The date of the final will be announced later. The car, which is being offered as the principal prize, is on view at the Ford Garjjge, Tunin street. Besides this, other valuable prizes will be given to tlie 120 prize-winners who take part in the final.
