TEMUKA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Tcmuka Football Club wao held in tho Fire Brigsda room, Mr J. Henry presiding over a. very largo attendance. A motion of sympathy 'was passed with the. relatives of tho late Mr Martin, who had been a staunch supporter of the club. The annual report stated that tho clnb had a, credit, balance of £l2 16s Id. The following new memberß were elected: Messrs J. Ritchie, G. Johnston, G. Moulton, sen., and S. Enwood. Tho following officers wero elected:—Patron, Mr T. "D. Burnett, M.P.; patroness, Mre J. McDonald; president, Mr A. E. Smith; senior vice-president, Mr B. Koylc; junior vice-presidents, Messrs G. H. Clements and W. McCallum; a,bout 50 hon. vioo-presidents wero clocted; secretary, Mr T). Boyle, G. Judson, and tho fieicr captain. It was agreed to open the season on Saturday, April -Uh. It was arranged that Ashbnrten play a malrJi in Temuka on Saturdav. April ]ltji. Tho Rangiora- Club forwarded an invitation *to tbo members of the Fourth Grade team to visit Rangiora at. Kaster. It. was accepted provided the Epidemic restrictions were lifted by that time.
Mr W. Jones £ave a gold mectal for tho most improvod player in tho senior grade. At the re<jucst of tho third grado team, it was agreed to try and arrange a match at Ashurion at Easter.
Mr Stanley mentioned that, the Union gave facilities for the Timam tea,ma to train at night by lighting tip tho playing area. He thought, ,it would bo a. fair thing the Union would extend the same opportunity to the country players. It wa& agreed to ask the club's delegates to "Bring the matter before, the Union. It was decided to enter teams in each, of the firo grades.
SOUTH CANTERBURY UNION. (special to "the pssis.") ' TIMJIRU, March 26. The annual general meeting of the South Canterbury Rugby Union was- held last evening.- The president Mr H. H. It was decided that a sole selector should he appointed for the coming season, but tho choice of a selector was. held over until the next meeting.

This is accounted for by a falling-off in the attendances after the trial games for the selection of the All Slacks and "weather conditions. It was decided to move at the meeting of the New Zealand Union to increase tho number of unions who could demand a special meeting; also to support an increase in the maximum number from a single union to five.

Zealand -Counoil in declining a tour of an English team, and has passed a resolution c$ protest. . Mr H D. Warner, a delegate to -the Council, complained of the difficulty, m getting information, and accused the Emergency Committee of taking too much on itself, and considered that * change, should be made in their representative m England.
