BURGLARS AT WORK.

Reginald John Massey, aged -1> pleaded guilty in tho Police Court to tvro charges of breaking and entering and theft, iind was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. In one case a boardinghousc-keeper stated that he was awakened hv a noise at 2 a-.m. and saw a man's feet under the bed. He ordered the intruder to come out and acc.Uf.ed replied: "Put vour hands up and I will." Accused then bolted with witness in pursuit. Accused climbed ;!• tree. Boarders watched beneath the tree until tie police arrived and Massey was taken into custody. INVERCARGILL. March 26.
The house of A. W. Jone.s was entered l*y a burglar and a box containing £4SO worth of bonds stolen. Ko far no trace of the missing property lias been found.
