« The 1-lazeldean road Hall was packed to overflowing on Wednesday night. Thfl occasion was a gathering of the' Druids of No. 2 district, t-o do honour to P.D.P. Bro. W Schumacher, of the Oak of Sydenham Lodge, who had completed his term of office as District President. The Grand Lodge officers were represented by Grand President Bro. Collin#, Grand Guardian Bro. Bailey, . and 1.P.0.P. Bro. Francis. District President Bro. McCree, of the Anchor made a presentation of a collar, on behalf of the district, to Bro. Schumacher, and many brethren spoke of his <'nt.husia.stic work. The toa&t lint, was: "The King a*d the Druids," "The Grind Lodge of Canterbury," and "The Visitors." Bro. Hood acted as pianist. and n splendid programme of rorvg and story was jrrven. The Lodges represented werr.: Scddon, Pioneer. Amborley, Anchor, Perseverance, Ivy of Linwood, Hope of St. Albans, Timaru, and All Nations, Port Chalmers.
