NOTES. At its next. run. to be held at Mt. Somers 011 Sunday, the Ashburf.on MotorCycle Club is staging a hill-climbing competition. Under the auspices of the Pioneer Sports Club, the Flying Mile Championship will be held on the beach at ~Sc\v Brighton 011 Tuesday next. Special interest will be added to the event in that the two North .Lslanll champions, P. Coleman and S. Stratton, will be competitors. Entries close to-night.

The Pioneer Sports Club Side-Car Trial is to l>e held on Saturday, April 18111. iintries will close on April "Jth. The test, which will try out the capabilities of the machines, will be over the same route as that followed at the Reliability Trial on Saturdav last.

'ln the Reliability Trial norn Cassnoek to Gloucester (X.'S.W.) J-«o Moronev on an Indian Prince made a remarkably fine performance in competition with heavy-weight machines. Tool boxes on all machines were sealed before the run started, and the seals were examined and required to te intact At the end of the trial. The course ran over a distanoe of scune 196 miles, and the roads were rough and abounding in i pot, holes for most; of the way. The Prince came through with a perfect score, and was just «s fit at the end of'the journey as when it started. /

A cablegram has been received from B.S.A. Cycles, Tjtd., Birmingham, stating that successes of B.S.A. motorcycles in the Piaris to Nice trial were •as follows:—Foot entries gained team prize and four'gold medals and three cups.
