WANDERING SHEEP AT SCARBOROUGH.

TO THW EDITOR OF "THE PRESS."

Sir, —Residents of Scarborough Hill, Sumner, are much annoyed from time to time by wandering sheep which are allowed to roam about the roads and vacant sections and to take advantage of any weak spots in the fencos or a gate not properly closed, to enter and' do damage to the private gardens. At the present time I notice two sheep (there may be more) in the Scar-, borough Park where they are damaging the trees and shrubs' planted by the Council. I hope the Mayor, who seems j to take an active interest in this part ] of his borough, will take prompt steps j to deal with this matter. —Yours, etc.,

RESIDENT OF SCARBOROUGH, February 16th.
