OPENING SHOOT. Tho Chratcbuveh Gun Club held the opening shoot' of tho season at.Sackburn on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was not large owing to some members of the club being still playing cricket and others being engaged in fishing. Tho weather conditions were difficult for good shooting, „» B ' rQ nß norlh-ciut breeze making it erratic; The first match was at five birds, and was divided by J. Simpson and A, Turner, who each roI the possible. Tho second match, at five birds, was divided by the same competitors, who again got th* possible. ~ The vuml match, at ten birds, was won outright by O, Jamieaon with tho possible, A. Turner breaking nine, being tho runner-up. Ihe fourth match, a double'rise, each man to shoot at three birds, wasi divided between H. Truscott and A. Turner, each breaking 2 U naira. The fifth match, a double .me, throo naira, was won outright by J,. Simpson with 21 pairs, H. - Truscott and W. Hold being runncrs-up, each breaking two paws.^
