HON. J. G. COATES INTERVIEWED. (press association telegbau.) NEW PLYMOUTH, December 23. The Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister of Kailways) arrived here to-night from Te Kuiti and left for Marton, en route to Wellington. "I cannot confirm it," said Mr Coates, when his attention -was drawn to the report that Mr E. Fay, a son of Sir Sam Fay, one of the.English Bailway Commissioners, is to take over control of the Operations Branch of the Eailways. Mr Coates hinted at the possibility of one of the visiting railway experts coming to stay in the Dominion for about three months, and another one for a longer period, but he could not say anything definite. He will issue a statement on railway matters in a few days.
