RIFLE SHOOTING.
RAILWAY DEFENCE CLUB. The Christchurch Railway Defence Rifle Uu!) fired its second compDtition for tho c.ub championship and third handicap match last Saturday at Hedcliffs. The conditions were 10 shots each at 500 and 700 yds. The weather was fine, but a tricJcy north-east wind with a very changeable light made high scoring impossible, especially at 700 yds. Ihe Christmas ham was won by W. Barrett with a. score of 9-). The results were as follows:
