THE LATE MRS JOHANNAH FITZGIBBON.
Mrs Johannah Fitzgibbon, who died at Eangiora, was torn at Mitchelstown, County Cork, Ireland, 74 years ago, and came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Hydaspes. Three years after her arrival she ' married Mr Martin Fitzgibbon, and settled in the district now known as Loburn. Here she resided for almost half a century, living the strenuous, self-reliant life of the. pioneers. A few years ago she and her husband retired to Eangiora. .The deceased leaves a husband, five sons, and three daughters, and twenty-nine grandchildren to mourn their loss. At the funeral, the pall-bearers we're her five sons, John (Eangiora), James, Joseph Leonard and Michael (Loburn), and son-in-law, Mr J. C. Croft (Broomfield). Eequiem Mass was celebrated by the Eev. FatherO'Doherty, assisted by the Eev. Father Quinn, who also read the service at the graveside. Wreaths were sent by:—Mr and Mrs E, Kinley and sons, Mrs and Misses Douglas, Mr and Mrs J.
